These modules, both theory and practical, give a basic understanding of the knowledge that is required to be an active crew member on board a Yacht either power or sail.
Candidates seeking a career in Yachting, such as those who wish to hold the International Crew Certificate, Yachtmaster Coastal, Offshore or Ocean Certificate, are required to complete STCW 95 Basic safety training courses at a recognized national training facility. These courses are recognized internationally by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). See note 1 below.
