After moving to Turkey in 1989 Cumhur Gokova ( see life of Cumhur Gokova) Has opened firs t Canadian School outside Canada in Marmaris Turkey. Few years later he also opened First RYA school in Turkey.

International Yachtmaster Training, Inc. (IYT), a Florida corporation, was established in 1998 In 2001 IYT recognized the need for a standardized approach to Yacht Training globally and successfully established a partnership programme offering IYT’s courses to candidates through a network of existing and high quality established professional sailing and motor yacht training schools around the globe.

South Africa was 1st and IYT Turkey was 2nd to join the IYT World in  Marmaris Turkey.

IYT TURKEY wanted to be one of the best in the world. So first think we did was build the 350m2 school building in 2000m2 green forest. ( click school building) than build special 40 foot boats specially designed for school. Then took the Instructors to IYT world and train them. Today IYT Turkey is offering all the courses from Professional Crew to Master of the Yacht Ocean.
